How is everyone doing over there? I hope you are all doing fine, cause we do to :).
We had such a nice week, we had so much fun with Vera.
Vera is an exchange student from Frankfurt-Germany, we have been hanging around together since we have arrived.
We all share the same purpose, learn and experience a little more about the American culture and have loads of fun, sweets and shopping... yeah hardcore shoppers.Oh bye the way the picture above is Vera.
So it was a nice week again, time flies. There is soo much to do, we have soo much to do, we are never bored. Oh we were very busy this week planing our trip... it takes a lot of time, however its fun. So excite about it :).
Oh sorry, my bad I mean, the picture below is Vera... :)

Well every morning it is not easy to know what to wear (sound like a girl thing) but the weather is changing so fast. Sometimes it is 28 degrees, hot hot hot, and sometimes it is 12 brrrrrrr, so sweating or freezing. Usually we have a glance at the window to see what the people are wearing, cause the weather forecast doesn't make sense here, most of the times it is not what is seems. So we have our weather forecast in our room, our window view.
These are not the same as in NL, not even close, here they are 3 times bigger (American size). So some look scary, like a small cat.
Lisa and her boot...
So when we came in our room, some other students were kind of lost I guess, suddenly while changing clothes, getting ready to sleep, the door opened in the middle of the night. Pretty scary cause we didn't expect anyone... right? Or was it the boot...
By the way, did we mentioned about the sweet squirrels we see everywhere on the campus? Sometimes in the Netherlands you can see some little bunnies, but here they have loads of squirrels.

So some look scary, like a small cat.Well most of them look sweet, they have these lovely fluffy tails as big as their body. If you look closely they kind of looking aggressive, oh well I would have done the same if a weird Dutch look-a-like Chinese student are looking at them.
In town, off campus there is a nice cafe to hang around at day time and have a delicious hot chocolate with loads of cream, hmmmm.... Though the mugs are in American size, oh well who cares...
And so, at night it is the same as anywhere in the world, even in Wisconsin... bars, bars, bars, beers, beers, and beers...
So we found "Das Bierhaus" even though we do not like beer it was fun. Das Bierhaus is known as the German bar for its "boots".
Right that night Lisa was thirsty, she has found her boot! We had to drag her home... in the rain again...

Well we can tell, the food is really crappy here (still), I could say I am so sick and tired of the food of the canteen. It is burgers and fried stuff simply every day, when things supposed to be green they would end up on your plate like yellow, all the veggies are over cooked and loose all the vitamins and color. Besides the salad bar, it is hard to eat a decent meal...
So sometimes we are forced to cook some simple dishes, which makes us very happy each time.
Hey it is not all about crappy food, I made some nice stuff... my way of 'cooking' or baking, its all the same... my favorite Brownies!!
When it was done, I had to drag the brownies to our room, the kitchen is in the basement, and half the building could smell it, that was not cool. I had to kick loads of butt's to survive...
Thank you for reading, let me know how you have been ok :)
